Get Churched Out!!

Its not about the fancy clothes, position, or the amount of people who can be seated in your sanctuary. Its about God and our relationship with Christ. Many Christians have gotten so caught up in "Church" and "Religion" that there relationship with Christ has fallen by the way side. To some, Christianity has been reduced to nothing more then judgmental people who act as if God has never seen them through anything.
We need to be churched out so we can focus on a relationship with Christ. Galatians 6:10 says "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." We cant do good if we are focused on our outward appearance, and not our inward relationship with Christ.

To be churched out is to be focused on a intimate relationship with Christ everyday. Not just when Mr. So and So is checking you out on Sunday morning. As Christians we have been charged with the task of walking in love. We don't just walk on Sunday do we?? No I don't think so. That means Sunday through Saturday we should be focusing on being imitators of God as we walk in Christ's love (Ephesians 5:1-2). Being a Christian is not about going to the big church in town because its popular. Its not about turning your nose up at the new believer because of their clothing. Its not about having the shiniest rims in the parking lot. And it definitely is not about standing in the $100 line at offering because you want everyone to see "YOU GOT IT LIKE THAT."
We need to refocus ourselves on Christ. Walking in love and giving to those in need. Let God be exalted and not us. Boasting to the side. All of Christ and none of us. God puts us through things to try our faith and also so that we can be a witness to others. We cant witness if our noses are up. If your walking with God and you have never been through anything then I would check my surrounding to figure out at what point I stopped walking with him. James 1:3-4 says "knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." This means tests and trials serve as a tool to perfect us. We are striving for perfection through Christ so opposition is inevitable.
Lets redirect our perspectives from "Churching" to Christ. Get sold out all over again for him. Walk in his love. Use your tests and trials as a witnessing tool to draw none believers to him. Be more concerned about your relationship with Christ and not your church attire. Lay at his feet to draw closer to him because of who he is and not what he can bless you with. Read and meditate on his word to feed your spirit and combat the works of the enemy not to show off how many scriptures your can re-sight. Its timeout for none sense because being a Christian is more then the latest gospel jam as your call tune. Church should be a place of worship were we give reverence to God for all that he has done not a appointment on our calendars. Lets not make it common.

AMEN!!
