JUDGEMENT
Jesus commissioned his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations and teach them to obey everything he commanded. Christ sketched the blueprint with his life. He walked in love, spoke when it was necessary, reached the people most in need of salvation, etc. etc. etc. But what do we see today in terms of discipleship? Not the most pleasant account of Christ-like behavior. Being a Christian is about more than pointing out what the Bible said about a personals sexual preference or even that a person drinks. So many Christian's have condemned believers to their own personal hell. Understand this we all have areas in our life Christ is still perfecting. You area of opportunity may not be another's, but trust we go through it all for a reason. Let me be transparent, when I seriously gave my life to Christ that's exactly what I did. Pointed out peoples wrongs, told them where they were going, and gave very little opportunity to teach salvation or what Christianity really means. No worries I have saw the light....
So I say that to say this the good work in each individual, GOD is faithful to complete that work until Christ returns. Our job is to walk in love, meaning show people the light through kindness humility, selflessness, etc. etc. More important questions you should be asking yourself when you feel compelled to judge someones walk....
When was the last time you genuinely helped those in need?
Is your light 60 or 100 watt?
Are you walking in your assignment and working your ministry?
If you can't answer yes to those questions then your perspective is a bit off. I am not saying that it is not okay to tell people what the Bible says, but it is more important to encourage them to embark on a deeper relationship with Christ where in he can direct you through his Word and solicit direction for your life.
I will leave you with some words God spoke to me as I meditated on this topic: "Let me do a good work in them its not your job. Show them me through your walk."
Remember this....
Matthew 25:35-40 New International Version (NIV)
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to
eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you
invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I
was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit
me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord,
when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to
drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or
needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or
in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you,
whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine,
you did for me.’
God Bless!
